Accord Lab

Accord Lab is a space for technical craft and hands-on formulation. Here, the language of scent is approached through direct, practical engagement — evaluating and blending materials to better understand how perfumes are made. The lab is devoted to building skill and fluency with both natural and synthetic ingredients, the study of structure and balance, and the creation of accords and compositions that express a clear intention.

Here you will find classes that range from focused studies of single notes to the construction of classic fragrance types, and from introductory exercises to advanced, independent work. Ground level classes are designed for anyone with an interest in perfume making, regardless of prior experience. From there, the levels form part of a progressive learning path, in which skills are developed over time and practice.

Whether you are taking your first steps in blending or deepening an established practice, the Accord Lab is a place to work closely with materials, develop your technical knowledge, and express your own voice.

Progressive Classes

There is no overstating how important learning to be attentive to what you smell all around you is to perfumery training.

Level 1 : Ground

Learn the language of scent from the ground up: fundamental concepts, shared vocabulary, and the initial tools for smelling, thinking, and blending.

Level 2 : Form

Deepen your practice through structured exercises and hands-on work, building fluency in technique, composition, and olfactory analysis.

Level 3 : Composition

Refine your skills and expand your critical understanding of perfume’s contexts and capabilities. Explore complex structures, historical frameworks, and contemporary methods that challenge convention.
